For Those Who Have Not Died in Vain

On Thursday May 4 and Friday 5 2017 at Studzinski Recital Hall, Kanbar Auditorium on the Bowdoin College Campus in Brunswick, Maine, Dr. Anthony Antolini and the Bowdoin Chorus and Orchestra will perform my work: “For Those Who Have Not Died in Vain: Requiem for a New World”. “Requiem” reflects the ever changing triumphs and tragedies that have befallen America and its people; utilizing music from several different styles, idioms, genres and facets of American culture.

Accompanied by speeches attributed to great American politicians, orators, writers, and figures throughout our nation’s history, including: John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Patrick Henry, and the most poignant being Chief Joseph’s speech at Bear Paw’s Battlefield read by John Dirks over the “Pie Jesu” sung by a solo boy soprano.
